Having enjoyed an extensive performance career traveling to over 30 countries in an average of 70 concerts a year, Dr. Min Kwon joins the faculty of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick in the fall of 2002. Drawing from an unusually varied musical activities, Dr. Kwon looks forward to focusing her efforts on teaching and devoting more time to her students. Previously, she has taught Piano Minor and Chamber Music at Juilliard and maintained successful studios both in New York City and in Korea. Her warm personality, insightful approach, and individually tailored teaching method have produced astounding results; students have been accepted to Juilliard, Curtis, Peabody, Indiana, Eastman, Manhattan, and Mannes Schools of Music.

Min Kwon earned her Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she began her studies at the age of fourteen with Eleanor Sokoloff, and received her Master's and Doctorate Degrees from the Juilliard School under Martin Canin. She then pursued post-doctoral studies in Europe with two distinguished professors of German and Russian Piano Schools: Hans Leygraf and Vitali Margulis. She has also studied in various masterclasses with Murray Perahia, Richard Goode, Yefim Bronfman, Emanuel Ax, and Andre Watts. A versatile pianist, Min Kwon gained extertise on orchestral keyboard playing working with Mary Sauer, Principal Keyboard of the Chicago Symphony, and Harriet Wingreen, pianist of the New York Philharmonic. An active chamber musician and collaborator, Min Kwon also received intensive coachings with Dorothy DeLay, Samuel Sanders, Felix Galimir, Jonathan Feldman, and Jerome Lowenthal.

As a performer, Min Kwon has appeared throughout the world and in all 50 States in the USA, including Mozarteum in Salzburg, Kursaal in Freiburg, Seoul's Arts Center, Chicago's Orchestra Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center's Avery fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall, International Monetary Conference in Switzerland, Sony Convention in New York City, "Open Concert," celebrated live national TV broadcast, in Korea, and BBC TV England/Scotland. Festival appearances included Aspen, Ravinia, Caramoor, Cape & Islands, and invitations to Colmar, France, Salzburg, Austria, Khumo, Finland, and Thy, Denmark.

During the past few seasons, Min Kwon has given over 120 joint recitals with her sister, Violinist Yoon Kwon to critical acclaim. As a soloist, Min Kwon has appeared, among numerous others, with the Philadelphia Orchestra, North Carolina, Fort Worth, New Jersey, Atlanta Symphony Orchestras, KBS Orchestra, Romanian, Mexico State, Venezuela Symphony Orchestras, Seoul Philharmonic, Puchon Symphony, Aspen Festival and Concert Orchestra, and both the Juilliard Orchestra and the Juilliard Symphony.
