Author of the highly acclaimed book The Art of Practicing: A Guide to Making Music from the Heart, Madeline Bruser combines physiological and meditative principles to help musicians of all levels release physical and mental tension and unleash their innate musical talent. Pianist Madeline Bruser has performed as soloist with the San Francisco and Denver Symphony Orchestras. A graduate of the Juilliard School, she began teaching in 1969 and later received a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Since 1985 she has conducted seminars, workshops, master classes, and teacher training programs on the Art of Practicing in the United States and Canada, including presentations at the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, the University of Southern California, the MedArt World Congress on Arts and Medicine, Steinway Hall, and the Canadian Conservatory of Music. Her book, The Art of Practicing: A Guide to Making Music from the Heart, was published in 1997 and appeared in paperback in February 1999. Ms. Bruser teaches privately in New York City.
