Hello! My name is Emily Overstreet. I have been playing piano for over 16 years and teaching piano for 6 years.
Growing up, I always had a general interest in music. Just 6 months after starting piano lessons, I stumbled upon my biggest opportunity. At the age of 14, my piano teacher gave me the opportunity to play the piano for a local church. Since 2005, I have been a church pianist for multiple local churches in each area that I have lived.
With a heart for teaching and a love for music, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a Piano Emphasis. The same year I had entered the Original Music Composition Contest with my piano solo “The Journey” and won alternate. After graduation, the next step was making dreams become reality!
For three years, I started teaching as a Preschool Teacher’s Aide while teaching piano lessons after school hours. This was the start of something new and lasting. During this time, Naturally Sharp Piano Studio began its journey.
Since that time, my studio has grown into a thriving group of students from ages 4 – 84! Every day I look forward to sharing the wonder of music with each of my students.
