Whether in a workshop, classroom
or a private lesson, Jennifer Winkler's philosophy
on teaching is to “keep it fun!” She
believes that there is something to be learned in
all forms of music and is willing to let the student
explore. She focuses on each student’s needs,
desires and abilities and tailors each lesson accordingly.
Vocally, Jennifer’s techniques cover everything
from Broadway belt to opera, focusing on clarity
of the words – not just the sound. As a piano
instructor, her approach keeps the student interested
and excited while learning the basics of reading
music.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical
Theatre from Loretto Heights College in Denver,
Colorado. She has taught piano, voice and music
theatre production in public and private schools,
churches and her own studio. She was the artistic
director for the One Direction Actor’s Workshop
and has been a guest teacher for music theatre programs
for children throughout Los Angeles. Ms. Winkler
is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Jennifer has performed throughout the country in
various regional productions and national tours.
She has performed a variety of lead roles, including
Eva Peron in “Evita”, Sandy in “Grease”,
Guenevere in “Camelot”, Anita in “West
Side Story”, and as Kaye in the West Coast
Premiere of “The Taffetas”. She has
worked as a professional Christmas Caroler for Aaron
Spelling, John Tesh and Connie Selleca, Dick Clark
and Dick Van Dyke and has appeared on television’s
“Star Search”. Jennifer has toured the
world performing for Crystal Cruises, the industry
leader in luxury cruising, and continues her association
with them as casting director for male and female
vocalists.
Currently teaching from her Burbank, California
studio, Jennifer has a roster of students ranging
from 5 year-olds to 55 year-olds. She offers lessons
in piano, voice or a combination of the two. For
