Alice Demske, 26, is a native of
Dallas, Texas. She began her piano studies at the
age of four and began teaching at age fourteen.
She gained her undergraduate degree in piano performance
at the Royal Academy of Music in London, England.
While there she completed the Royal Academy Teaching
Certificate program. She then went on to complete
a postgraduate and Master's degree at the Royal
College of Music, London. She is now completing
a Doctorate of Musical Arts program at the University
of Missouri - Kansas City.
During her six years in England she studied under
some of the world's finest teachers and performers,
including Pascal Roge (concert pianist), Stephen
Hough (concert pianist), Veda Kaplinsky (head of
Juilliard Keyboard), Paul Badura-Skoda (concert
pianist), Marc Durand (piano teacher, Quebec), Irina
Zaritskaya (teacher, London), and Martin Roscoe
(concert pianist/head of Royal Northern keyboard).
Such tutelage enabled her to successfully participate
in the international piano competition scene. She
has won numerous awards and regularly performs in
both solo and chamber music venues. Most recently
she was invited to compete in the Sydney International
Piano Competition of Australia.
Alice has taught all ages and levels. She focuses
primarily on classical repetoire but has experience
in many other areas, including jazz. She teaches
at a studio, but can easily travel to students homes.
Her lessons are upbeat and cheerful, exemplifying
her primary desire - to help her students achieve
their goals.
