Ms. Young had 17 years of teaching
experience and is a Licentiate in Piano Teaching
of the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Receiving critical acclaim, pianist Eva Young made
her first concerto appearance with the Royal College
of Music Orchestra as a result of winning the Peter
Morrison Concerto Competition. At an early age she
also performed at London’s major performing
center, the South Bank and the Barbican.
Immigrating to the United States, Ms. Young has
performed frequently at the Bach Aria Festival,
Music Academy of the West, Interlochen Center of
the Arts as vocal coach and accompanist.
She was invited to premiere composer Lu Yen’s
piano concerto with the Taipei Contemporary Chamber
Orchestra at Taiwan’s National Concert Hall.
She performed work of Steve Reich with the New World
Symphony in Florida and work of Aaron Jay Kernis
at the Pacific Music Festival in Japan.
As harpsichordist she has performed with violinist
Soovin Kim and cellist Edward Arron for Astral Artistic
Services in Philadelphia, violinist Mark Peskanov
and I Virtuosi Italiani at Barge Music, members
of the Orion String Quartet, New York Consort of
Viols, Ann Arbor Chamber Museum Players, Philadelphia
Classical Symphony and the Chamber Orchestra of
Philadelphia.
Ms. Young holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory
and the University of Michigan. She is on the faculty
of Suburban Community Music Center, Long Hill Music
Center and maintains a private piano studio in Stirling,
NJ. She is also the coordinator of the Classical
Concert Series at Watchung Arts Center.
