My name is Christina Tanner, I am
a piano teacher and performer in New York City.
I accept students of all ages and abilities, beginner
to advanced, children to adult. I have been teaching
piano lessons in the New York area for 15 years.
My teaching style is one that creates a positive
atmosphere for learning, progress and fun for my
piano students. I take special care to cater to
each student's individual needs and goals. I teach
classical, jazz and pop. I am available to travel
to the student's home or the student may come to

BIO:
New York Piano Teacher Christina Tanner began studying
piano at age 5 with Donna Heller. She made her solo
debut in Los Angeles at age 11 playing works of
Bach, Mozart, and Poulenc and her orchestral debut
at 15 with the Oregon Community Orchestra. She continued
her studies at Northwestern University, Manhattan
School of Music and The Juilliard School. She has
been piano teaching faculty at several New York
music schools including the Henry Street Settlement
and the Early Ear music program. Further studies
and coachings have been with the following piano
teachers in and out of New York: Peter Serkin, Arthur
Balsam, Lana Sovlakova, Jeanne Salomans, Martha
Demwich, Ian Hobson and Violetta Scarmini.
Christina regularly performs and teaches out of
New York City. Mrs. Tanner has been associated with
the American Russian Young Artists Program, NY,
for several years and has attended their festival,
Amirus. Her solo piano and chamber appearances include,
The Connecticut Community Symphony, the Brooklyn
Symphony, The Long Island Symphony, Nassau Community
Orchestra, Dunlop Sinfonetta, the Westchester Symphony,
the Manhattan Virtuosi, the Plymouth Symphony.
