Instruction:

Sparks Piano Studio offers quality music instruction in piano for students of all ages and levels of advancement. The studio uses a unique combination of private lessons, computer music lab, festival events and recitals. Students receive specialized training in piano performance, theory, technique, ear-training, harmonization, sight-reading and accompaniment. Instruction is individualized based on the student’s interest, age and skills.

Private Lesson:

Each lesson has two parts: private lesson with an instructor and computer lab designed to fit a student’s individual musical growth and needs. A wide selection of repertoire is chosen featuring music from the great composers to the music of the 21st century including jazz, pop, blues, and improvisation. Each week students receive a detailed assignment sheet with practice suggestions, warm-ups, technical exercises and theory work. Through practice, performance and theory work, students earn points toward Music awards and trophies.

Special Festivals:

Students have the opportunity to participate in area and state festivals, depending on their ability. The studio regularly participates in the Young Artist auditions, National Federation of Music Clubs Festival, and National Guild of Piano Teachers. Students have consistently earned superior ratings at Area Festivals and have been scholarship and honors winners. Students have been awarded both National and International Awards from the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
