Lily Nijehovsky is an accomplished
classically trained pianist with Masters degree
in Piano Teaching, Piano Performance and Accompanying
from Prokofiev Conservatory, Donetsk, Ukraine. Lily
also is a certified Suzuki piano teacher from Ohio
Capital University.
Lily has been teaching piano for over 20 years
to students of all ages and all levels. She has
taught undergraduate students in Moscow Music Military
College for ten years. The vast majority of her
students went on to The Moscow Conservatory. Lily
has been teaching piano in Greater Cleveland area
since 1991. She had taught students in Preparatory
and Continuing Education Department in The Cleveland
Institute of Music.
Currently she's been teaching in The School of
Music at The Fairmount Center for The Performing
Arts and privately in her home in Beachwood, Ohio.
A number of Lily's students have received awards
in various Piano competitions.
Lily and her students are well known in the community
for their frequent performances. Lily has also performed
in The Big Hall of Moscow Conservatory, House of
Composers, House of Arts Representatives, The Fairmount
Center for The Performing Arts. She has played for
The School of The Cleveland Ballet and has accompanied
various soloists, both vocal and instrumental, in
multiple concerts. Lily's teaching methods are tailored
to suit each particular student, beginner or advanced.
An individual approach to every student is her motto.
In addition to teaching piano, Lily has developed
and implemented comprehensive ear-training course.
Lily's goal as a teacher is to have her students
love piano, to make sure that they are enjoying
the time they spend making music; to encourage and
to motivate them to develop their musical talents,
and to achieve their personal pianistic goals.
