Brandi H. Troxel, MM, is a flourishing
pianist and soprano in Houston, TX. She received
a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Piano
Pedagogy from Louisiana College, Pineville, LA in
1997 and a Master of Music in Voice Performance
from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Her musical training as a pianist began at age
6 in New Orleans, LA. Her piano training was in
Suzuki and Bastien method books, as well as sight
reading, ear training, theory, improvisation, and
technique. As a young piano soloist, she appeared
at the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans, LA with
the Suzuki Piano Forum. At age 11, she was the Junior
Division winner of the Discovery Talent Search in
the New Orleans Region. While in high school, she
won the Louisiana State Hymn Playing Festival three
consecutive years.
Brandi has performed with the New Orleans Symphony
and Choir, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, Louisiana
College Opera and Chorale, and Louisiana State University
Opera and Chamber Choir. She has performed in Carnegie
Hall with the Louisiana College Chorale in 1995
and toured Germany and Austria in 1997. She was
also crowned "Miss Louisiana College"
and competed in the "Miss Louisiana Pageant"
in 1997.
Brandi has a private piano and voice studio where
she teaches students from age 4 to adult. Her emphasis
is on teaching classical and religious music combined
with music theory. She also emphasizes the importance
of steady practice and parental guidance throughout
the years of instruction. Please feel free to call
