Judy Huehn teaches piano and music
theory in her private studio in Redmond (Education
Hill), Washington. She welcomes new students ages
five and up and teaches all levels. With over ten
years of teaching experience as a piano teacher
and music educator in the private and public elementary
schools, Ms. Huehn’s ability to inspire and
motivate young children has helped them discover
their hidden talents and enjoyment of music.

Judy Huehn performs frequently as a piano duo and
accompanist for instrumentalists and singers in
addition to performing as a soloist. She has performed
in several music festivals including the International
Chamber Music Festival in Positano, Italy; the International
Piano Festival at Alfred Cortot Ecole de Musique,
Paris, France; Kiwanis Music Festival in Vancouver,
Canada; and the Carmel Music Society, California,
U.S.A. She has recorded two CDs of cello and piano
music with Anna-Katrina Trauffer, Swiss cellist;
and two pianos duo music with Ekaterina Gueorguieva,
Bulgarian pianist.
MUSIC EDUCATION and TRAINING
Studied piano with internationally renowned teachers
such as Prof. Lee Kum-Sing at the Vancouver Academy
of Music; Prof. Mack McCray and the Late Prof. Justin
Blasdale at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Participated in masterclasses with Andre Watts,
Evelyn Brancart, Ian Hobson, Boaz Sharon, Einar
Steen-Nokleberg, Isabella Clini, and Nelson Delle-Vigne
Fabbri.
Pedagogy training in Dalcroze method involving eurhythmics;
Kodaly method with solfege singing; Orff Perspective
emphasizing rhythmic training on percussion instruments.
Began music studies at age four in the Suzuki method
at the Vancouver Academy of Music.
Studied music theory and history under the Royal
Conservatory of Music curriculum and with more in-depth
studies as a graduate student of SF Conservatory
of Music.
Judy Huehn is an active member of the Washington
State Music Teachers Association. She resides in
Redmond with her husband, Robert.
