Graduated from Western Washington University, BA in Music (Piano). Studied with Jeffrey Gilliam and Ford Hill. I was the recipient of the Richard Greene scholarship along with a scholarship from the WWU music department. I have been teaching piano since I was 14, playing professionally since I was 20.
I also currently sing jazz with The Paul Sorensen Trio and previously was the pianist and singer for the 20-piece big band, Swing Connection.
I teach classical piano and enjoy helping my students with composition, improvisation, music theory, sight reading, etc. Throughout the year we participate in adjudications, recitals, a sonatina festival, competitions, music Olympics, Young Composer Project and more.
