Anna Kroik has been teaching music for over 25 years. She began her career in music at the age of seven, when she was accepted in specialized music school. From her humble beginnings, she continued to earn her undergraduate degree in Music Education from the St. Petersburg College and later on her Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from St. Petersburg Institute of Culture and Performing Arts.
After immigrating to the US in 1992, Dr. Anna Kroik continued her music and educational career. In 1998, she completed the Music Education Program at Kean University. Following graduation, Dr. Kroik began to serve as an adjunct professor and accompanist of Kean’s concert choir which toured the US and Canada. Later on, she received her Master of Education from Marygrove College and completed doctoral educational program in Walden University where she studied effect of music on language development.
In 2001, Dr. Anna Kroik founded Rhapsody Academy of Music, where she is a program director and a teacher. Dr. Kroik has been a proud member of the National Piano Guild, preparing her students for yearly auditions. In addition to founding Rhapsody, Anna works for the Elizabeth Borough of Education as a music teacher as well as an organist at Linden Presbyterian Church.
Throughout her years of performing and teaching at Kean University, Rhapsody, the Elizabeth Borough of Education, and Linden Presbyterian Church, Anna has inspired many to take a musical path. She’s seen students become accomplished musicians and teachers themselves. Most importantly, she’s imparted her love of music and the arts to hundreds.
